The Chicago Bears have terminated the contract of  wide receiver Johnny Knox, the team said Tuesday.

Knox suffered a severe back injury in a game against the Seattle Seahawks late in the 2011 season and hasn't played since. He underwent spinal fusion surgery and was placed on the physically unable to perform list last July.






In three seasons (2009-11) with the Bears, Knox had 133 receptions for 2,214 yards and 12 touchdowns.
